Research interests

The scientific community has made significant strides in creating nanomaterials, leading to a wide array of uses ranging from healing damaged tissues to providing sustainable environmental solutions, all rooted in nanotechnology principles. Yet, the quest to develop an optimal multifunctional material remains a formidable endeavor, necessitating ongoing exploration for novel materials that can simplify our daily existence. Our laboratory is dedicated to addressing the challenges encountered by patients who rely on nanomaterials to heal severe wounds, employing tissue engineering and regenerative strategies. Furthermore, our commitment to devising innovative and sophisticated techniques paves the way for the fabrication of artificial scaffolds, poised to serve as replacements for human tissues. A persistent obstacle is our limited understanding of the interactions between nanomaterials and living cells, which continually drives us to refine and enhance our new material designs.

Our laboratory is eager to receive applications from students who are passionate about embarking on a Ph.D. research journey with us. The scholars interested  to apply for post-doctoral research opportunities (e.g., SERB National Post-Doctoral Fellowship, ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellowship, DST-Nano Mission Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Women Scientist Scheme (WOS), UGC D. S. Kothari Fellowships and IGIDR Post-Doctoral Fellows are welcome. We also extend invitations to international students to engage in research with us, contingent upon fellowships or study exchange programs between the two countries.
